Germany-based lubricant specialists Zeller + Gmelin and its Divinol Multimax lubricant line have received the “Meet Caterpillar XY specification” certification for meeting Caterpillar’s demanding requirements and the product’s overall performance in heavy duty applications.

The new Meet Caterpillar XY specification represents a standard for third-party products that promises maximum durability and performance from Caterpillar engines. The particular ECF specifications have been developed to help Caterpillar engines comply with the stringent emissions regulations of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Zeller + Gmelin received Meet Caterpillar XY specification for several of its Divinol lubricants in the heavy duty area covering engine and hydraulic oils. According to Zeller + Gmelin’s Andreas Krapf, Product Manager for Automotive and Speciality Automotive Products, “The year-round high-performance engine oils of the Divinol Multimax range are particularly popular with our customers because where standard lubricants fail or reach their limits, they are able to meet the highest demands. All in all, we are creating several sustainable benefits with our Divinol products, such as longer durability, less downtime and an overall improved performance for Caterpillar machines.”
