COVER STORY – Zuber & Sons Handles Changes –
GOLD BEACH, Oregon – Operating a logging company on the edge of the continent, in the remote and incredibly rugged and beautiful southwest Oregon-northern California region, presents challenges that constantly affect operational decisions: smaller potential work force, seasonal work issues, fewer log markets and a long – really long – drive for most machine service techs.
Going into its 60th year, Zuber & Sons Logging has met those challenges, survived and succeeded across seven decades now, growing from a single-Cat farm logging operation to today’s modern and mechanized two-crew logging company.
